I am a PM, and I have been with designers for a long time every day. I am very impressed and have some understanding of design. There are a lot of H5 contacts recently, so today I will talk about design from the point of H5, and by the way, I will extend it and send out to discuss and discuss with you, and confirm each other. Compared with professional design gods, it is naturally far behind. Quan Think of it as a product note for yourself.

Everyone knows that the current era of information flow, fragmented time, is not enough for us to spend more time in an application or even a page every day for too long. The rapid change of information on the mobile phone requires what you express. Things can be conveyed to users within a few seconds; in addition, the public’s aesthetics are becoming more and more of a false growth trend, a fast-food aesthetic of vain and nothingness. It is looking at the fast food box, who makes the platter better. , More appetite, the cost of beauty is decreasing, and even standardized production. So how can you stand out in this fast food contest and let everyone notice you?

First, you need a good copy, and second, you need a good design.

I won’t go into too much detail here, as long as it is “speaking human words, speaking clearly, and having results”, that’s it. However, it is really difficult to find a good copywriting children’s shoes. There are not many people who listen to them.

Back to design, what is good design, everyone has their own opinions, and the benevolent sees each other. On the whole, the qualities that a good designer should possess are nothing more than the following:

1. It is very important to confirm the needs, figure it out, and then do something.

When you receive a requirement, you do not look for a reference and start designing at the first time, but first summarize the requirement in paragraphs and deal with it in sections. What is the theme of the requirement? How many modules are there? What is the bearing connection? What style does the user want? Does the user have any other ideas or supplements? After the communication is organized, hand it over to the user to check and confirm, and then start your work after confirming that it is correct. This can reduce unnecessary rework in the later stage and affect the progress.

Some people may ask, this does not seem to be a job for design. Then I ask you, have you ever experienced design rework? If not, it means that you are excellent. If so, please remember that, never expect that users will chew all their needs in segments before feeding you. You should think more, think more, and ask more questions.

I have worked for several years and have contacted many design colleagues. I found that it is easy to ignore the requirement confirmation. The first draft is completed during the start of construction, and then I confirm with the user. At this time, the rework rate is very high. Teachers always complain about manuscript changes. If you confirm your needs with the user at the beginning and leave evidence (such as emails, conversation records, etc.), will he ask you to redo it? At least the big frame and direction will not change. What you do later is optimization and detailed processing, so that your work will be efficient and the users will be more satisfied.

Need to confirm this. I hope that friends will have a lot of experience to try and use it. When you get used to such a process, it will become one of the experiences, from the beginner to the advanced and then to the director. Skills are only the foundation, which determines your position and height. Not skills, but users. Editors, operations, technology, products, partners, bosses, etc. are all users. Whoever can read and grasp the users wins.

2. Page level rationalization

A qualified designer should know: how to process a basket of information hierarchically? The strength of the theme is expressed through different levels. With levels, it means to users which are important and which are not important on the page. Without the need for users to translate, they can already receive information clearly. How should the levels be divided?

  • The first level, the most important: theme, highlight the theme through size, color, and location, and tell us your central meaning;
  • The second level is more important: sub-standard, background, used to highlight the theme, enhance user understanding, and assist in expression;
  • The third level is irrelevant: narration content, embellishment elements, etc., these are placed in the right place, in line with the user’s reading habits, and do not need to spend too much time.

3. The degree of theme communication

When talking about levels, copywriting also needs to be expressed at levels. Good copywriting needs to be carried by a good design. It has to tell us “what is it, what to do, and the result”. Therefore, the information level of the copy determines whether your theme communication can allow users to quickly perceive the first time and get results.

According to the user’s reading habits, from top to bottom, from left to right, then our topic level should also follow the user’s habits. The first thing to do is to select the site, the upper and lower structure or the left and right structure, and then distinguish the main and subtitles by different font sizes and colors, and finally a reliable and not so eye-catching background that makes people look comfortable to set off the theme. That’s OK.

4. The page is minimal

The so-called minimalism refers to the information on our page. For example, our color blocks, elements, text information, etc., are reorganized and displayed to an extreme state. Minimalism does not mean simple, but more difficult and time-consuming to find the least and most suitable colors or elements. Finish your work.

At present, minimalism is already a design trend of the mobile terminal, and it will be the same in the future. The flat design that we often hear is also minimal.

Then, to complete a minimalist design on a narrow page within a few inches of the mobile terminal, some things will inevitably be discarded, and some things will be integrated. Then how can we achieve “appropriate placement and appropriate integration”?

Let’s start with subtraction, throw away your over-design, and try to express the theme with the fewest elements and colors to capture users. The white space we often say is actually one of the minimal presentations. The pure “emptiness” can give people an ethereal touch and imagination, and can stimulate interest and focus on the subject.

So why do we want to be minimalist, why should we promote minimalist thinking, is that we hope that our expressions can reach the hearts of users, grasp the core content, and tell users “what is it, what to do, and the result.”

Look at your own work, have you done it?

5. Treat users as “idiots” and treat yourself as users

What the design thinks and what our users think is often deviated. The reason for this deviation is that our designers do not see themselves as a user. When users see this page, they are looking at a page, this page. have what? What are you talking about? When designers see this page, they look at the color, background, design sense, style, etc., instead of ignoring the most real and most important things. Always remember that a good page design is to guide people and tell them to do it. what.

When I am making product requirements, I always ask myself: In what scenarios will I use this function, I am not happy with it, and what will I get in the end? The same is true for designers. Imagine that you are an ordinary user. When you see this page design page, what do you get the first time, whether you will continue to browse, whether it will prompt you to forward to the circle of friends, or will Do not hesitate to close and return.

When we work on the Internet, we often hear that, are you stupid, editors don’t understand anything, and products understand yarns. Is it true that we don’t?
