The quality of a continuous mold mainly depends on the process. Without good craftsmanship, no matter how powerful fitter, no matter how good the structure and equipment are, it is useless.

The intuitive embodiment of the continuous mold process is the material belt. As shown in the figure below, there are many things that need to be reflected in the material belt, with general directions and small details. The general direction is such as: punching, forming, and embossing. Small details such as: guide hole size, position, knife type, knife position and so on.

Before designing the mold material belt, it is necessary to perform product process analysis, product development, tolerance, determine the step distance, material width, split molding process, etc., each of these links is critical. Now take the details of the knife edge to learn from you.

Take the knife edge:

In the process of punching and shaping the product, the knife needs to be split if it cannot be completed in one step due to strength, stress and other reasons. When dividing the knife, it is necessary to pay attention to the stability of the material belt, the uniformity of the force, and the strength of the material belt.

It is easy to produce burrs at the position where the knife and the knife meet because of the gap or double shearing. Therefore, it is necessary to add the concave processing technology when designing, but because the size of the concave size will affect the appearance and accuracy of the product, the cutter concave is made standard, or different cutter types are used for the designer’s reference.

The above three types of splicing knives, the first two are notched splicing knives, the advantage is that the incision has no unnecessary burrs and dust, the disadvantage is that the appearance of the gap is affected. The third type belongs to the arc over-cutting knife. The advantage is that there are no gaps and no burrs, but it will destroy the arc size.
